Hair Brained Beauty

After working my first Saturday of prom season- here’s one of the biggest trends of this year: Big soft curls and lots of volume. 

An updo I did today, I took a 1” curling iron, curled the hair, and rolled it into itself. I then pinned the curls with small clips to the head and let them set and cool. I sprayed them down completely with a freeze hold hairspray, and moved up the head. Once they had all cooled (you can tell when they feel crunchy), I took some shine serum (any sort of gloss drop, etc) and fingered through all the curls. Then I backcombed the crown, and it looked gorgeous. She had to run out quickly, so I didn’t get a picture, but I’ll try to find a similar picture to post right after this to give you all an idea of it.
