So it’s hard to explain how to do it to someone who isn’t a hair stylist. No offense, but you at least have to kind of know the basics. So I’m just going to explain it like I would to a stylist. Because they are a lot harder to do than just an at home color. Hope that doesn’t offend anyone!
Section out your hair as if you were doing a normal hi light. Slice the hair in about 1/2 inch sections, and hold the hair as if you were going to weave. Instead, back comb the ends of the strands, and push up. That will leave you with about half the hair still in your hand, half pushed up the strand.
Take a foil, and place it where the NON back combed hair is. Apply your lightener, and fold like a hi light. Continue to move up the head, and try to keep the ends aligned so they all meet up at the bottom and it isn’t a mess. That’s it!
It’s easy once you get the hang of it!
Let me know if you have any more questions!

Well I personally like powder more than liquid. I feel like it’s more forgiving. And as far as the shade, usually brighter is better. I use Orgasm by Nars, and it’s like a light pink color mixed with gold shimmer. That shade is pretty much universally used.
And for applying, when you smile, the round part on your cheek is called the apple. Apply the blush with a large poofy brush, first on the apple of your cheek, and then follow up your cheek bone. You’ll be able to find that easily too when you smile.
Blend if you need to, and that’s about it!!
Hope this helps!
I’m exhausted from going days on no sleep, and lots of walking and excitement- so I’m not going to write my report from the show tonight, but I will tomorrow night for sure! No worries! It’ll be a good one!
I’ll also answer the questions I received while I was gone, tomorrow as well.
Hope you’re all looking forward to learning a lot about this seasons trends, and new techniques!
In the mean time, does any one else have any questions??

Oh that’s exciting!
What full highlights mean, is that they will highlight your entire head. They will take sections of your hair, and either weave small pieces off of that, or just slice a small layer of hair off the top of the section, and apply lightener to it.
Since you’re darker brown, tell them you want to go to a blonde. When I take someone from dark to light, I usually combine the two (slicing and weaving) but since you want more of a dirty blonde, I would probably weave it. It won’t look like lines of color in your hair. It will look natural. Don’t worry :) We’re trained and trained and trained for this!
Good luck! You should send a picture after its done!
